"China has provide the world another choice" A Kenyan expert assessed the Chinese People's Congress system like this during this year's NPC and CPPCC.

He said that African countries should study the institutional system of China carefully and learn experience from it.

Democracy has no uniform model or unique form. History and reality tell us repeatedly that "Separation of Powers" and multi-party system are not inherent democratic choices. We should not and cannot worship the West blindly and forget this piece of land under our feet.

To China, the ancient and modern oriental giant, the National People's Congress system meets the requirement of Chinese people, reflects the oriental wisdom, and has played an increasingly greater role in China's political life and national governance. It attracted more and more attention from the world and gradually been recognized by the world.

This system has great advantages as well as strong vitality.

In terms of institutional arrangement, the National People's Congress system reflects and protects "all power belongs to the people" which indicates that Chinese people play a role as the master of the country.

Growth on the back of low wage labourers does not make a system impressive. Decency and the right to be treated like a human being far outweigh gdp growth. Also being a daily reader of the Daily I can confidently state that there is little diversity of thought and opinion which is synomous with a system that is insecure and fears for its stability. It is truly a house of cards. China is a locked up bird waiting to be set free. Hu Liu, China

Success speaks for itself. Given the impressive progress of China over the past 30 years or so, who would be arrogant enough to argue with its system? Having followed the proceedings and being a reader of the Daily, I have seen enough diversity of thought and opinion to satisfy me that the Chinese people are being represented by a system which ensures both order and stability, without which there can be no decent society. A recurring theme I have noticed is the desire to right wrongs while promoting progress. This should be contrasted with the U.S., which arrogantly proclaims itself thte best. What a joke. The U.S. is rotten to the core, ruled by a privileged elite. And its increasing failure shows. It is obvious that their system of eating their own is a failure. If China keeps this up, it will one day overtake the U.S. Jack Smith, USA
