Central Committee of Chinese KMT Revolutionary Committee meets

19:44, December 01, 2011

BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Eleventh Central Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) Revolutionary Committee held its fifth plenary session Thursday, studying and implementing the essence of the recent Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Zhou Tienong, chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese KMT Revolutionary Committee, delivered a report on behalf of the Standing Committee to review its work in 2011, which is the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution that toppled the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), ending more than 2,000 years of imperial rule and giving birth to the first republic in Asia.

The year 2011 is an important one for the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, Zhou said. He urged his party members to study and implement the instructions on China's reunification by Hu Jintao, the state president and general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

This year, Zhou's party has carried out a series of activities to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the CPC and the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. Next year, it will further study ideology and help promote the peaceful reunification of China.

The Central Committee of the Chinese KMT Revolutionary Committee is one of the eight non-communist parties in the mainland of China.

I wish some of the members can help to bring China"s unification by talking to their counterpart in Taiwan. It sickens me that Chinese are hardest to mend their differences for the sake of "China". It is this sense of incohesiveness and lack of patriotism among Chinese. There is nothing more paramount than a unified China. How long was there a call to unite all Chinese together to resist foreigners(at that time Japs). Let"s make that call materialized. It is the wish of all Chinese, including the oversea Chinese.
