Zhu Xiaodan becomes acting governor of Guangdong

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The legislative body of southern China's Guangdong Province accepted the resignation of Governor Huang Huahua on Friday and named Vice Governor Zhu Xiaodan acting governor.

Huang's resignation was accepted at the 29th session of the Standing Committee of the 11th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.

The committee named Zhu, 58, acting governor.
