China: Recognition of Libya's NTC requires "ripe" conditions

BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- China needs to see whether conditions are ripe in considering recognition of the National Transitional Council(NTC) of Libya, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a press conference on Tuesday.

China's recognition of the NTC's position requires a process of "when water flows, a channel is formed," Jiang said.

French FM to visit China

BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of France Alain Juppe will make an official visit to China from Sept. 12 to 14, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu announced Tuesday.

During his stay in China, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will hold talks with him. Chinese leaders will also meet with him, according to Jiang.

China welcomes Syria's dialogue, inclusive political process

BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday said it welcomes Syria's national dialogue at the provincial level that started on Monday amid the nation's disturbing domestic situation.

"Syria's crisis needs to be settled by inclusive political process," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a regular press briefing.
