The 13th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) 2011, an annual jubilee from animated movie and comic fans, kicked off on Friday at the city's exhibition and convention center.

The five-day event attracted more than 170 local and international exhibitors, involving more than 500 booths. Various kinds of ani-com toys, limited-edition souvenirs, and creative stalls gathered at the show.

Apart from exhibitions, the show includes a series of fantastic activities and competitions, like Maid Bookstore, Master's autographs session, ACG cosplay contest, and 2011 HK dance power competition.

To promote local figure design industry and seek for new talents, Hong Kong Figure Design Competition will be held during the event, providing an effective platform for figure-fans to express their creative works.

"Last year, we have over 680,000 visitors coming, which is the highest record ever," said C.P. Leung, chief executive of ACGHK. "This year, with the full support from exhibitors, we believe the sales and visitor number will reach a new high record."
