Zhoushan explores way of balancing environment, economic development

12:41, October 29, 2011

Photo taken on Oct. 21, 2011 shows the oil depot in Cezi Island of Zhoushan, east China's Zhejiang Province. Zhoushan is the country's only prefecture-level administrative city based on islands. Comprising 1,390 islands, it has an approximately 280-kilometer-long deep-water coastline, taking up 18.4 percent of the country's total. It is located at the estuary of the Yangtze River to the sea, and acts as a perfect linkage between the land and the sea. (Xinhua/Ju Huanzong)
