Giant Buddhist bell turns up in S China

A worker gestures as a 109-ton bell is loaded at a dock in Liuzhou, south China's Guagnxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Oct. 19, 2011. The bell, with 92,306 characters of a Buddhist Scripture on its surface, was casted in Wuhan Heavy Industry Casting & Forging Co. Ltd and boasts a height of 9 meters, a weight of 9 tons and a bottom diameter of 6.06 meters. It will be placed in Xilai Temple in Liuzhou. (Xinhua/Lai Liusheng)
