Francoise Bettencourt, daughter of Liliane Bettencourt, heiress to the L'Oreal fortune arrives for the L'Oreal-UNESCO prize for women in Paris in this March 3, 2011, file photo. Bettencourt's daughter won control over her 88-year-old mother's business affairs on October 17 almost two years after she first asked to take over on the grounds her mother had been exploited. The decision was made on the basis of a medical examination, carried out following a surprise visit to the elderly billionaire's home in June, which concluded she was suffering from a form of dementia.
