Berdych rallies to claim China Open title

BEIJING, Oct. 10, 2011 -- Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic claimed the China Open men's singles title by rallying to beat Croatian Marin Cilic 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 here on Sunday.

The triumph elevates Berdych to No. 7 in the world rankings.

It was the third-seeded Berdych's first finals appearance of the season after losing in six semifinals.
