On Oct. 1, 1984 a grand military parade was held in Beijing in order to celebrate the 35th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The Chinese reform and opening up to outside world have made this country more and more prosperous. An impressive parade was held again on the National Day of 1984 after that of 1959.
