During the mid-autumn festival, the Red Beach Scenic Area in Liaoning province became very lively. Over the three-day holiday, more than 15,000 tourists from all parts of China gathered here to enjoy the splendid and marvelous autumn scenery.

The Red Beach, located in the Liaohe River Delta, is a famous national nature reserve. The Red Beach gets its name from its appearance, which is caused by a plant named suaeda grass, a plant that grows in saline-alkali soil. In autumn, this grass turns flaming red, and the beach looks as if it was covered by an infinite red carpet that creates a rare red sea landscape.
