U.S. amphibian dock landing ship Comstock visits Hong Kong

The Comstock, an amphibian dock landing ship, started its visit to Hong Kong on Aug. 31 and will leave on Sept. 4 for its home port in San Diego, the United States. Enlisted in 1990 with a capacity of around 600 soldiers, Comstock's primary mission is to launch and support assault landing crafts and vehicles during amphibious operations, and to provide landing craft maintenance service.
