Early rice output increases 4.5 percent over previous year

According to the data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics on Aug. 30, the total output of early rice in 2011 totaled nearly 33 million tons, an increase of 1.4 million tons, or 4.5 percent, compared to the previous year.
