Overseas Chinese mark centenary of China's 1911 Revolution

The Chinese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro holds a symposium to mark the centenary of China's 1911 Revolution, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Aug. 28, 2011. The 1911 Revolution, led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, toppled the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), eventually ending China's monarchy of over 2,000 years. Representatives of Taiwanese people living in Rio de Janeiro attended the symposium. (Xinhua/Weng Xinyang)
