Ingredients of Laba porridge are seen on a table at Pilu Temple in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province, Jan. 1, 2012. Laba literally means the eighth day of the 12th lunar month. The Laba Festival is regarded as a prelude to the Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year, the most important occasion of family reunion, falling on Jan. 1 this year.
