BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Guangming) -- A Chinese rubbings of stone relief of Han Dynasty exhibition concluded at National Library of China (NLC). 120 precious rubbings from private collections were presented to the public. More than 100 pieces were exhibited for the first time.
The exhibition included six zones: part one - Chinese dragon totem, to show the image of dragon in ancient people's eyes; part two - paintings about astronomy and astrology and gods and special beasts, to display ancestors' view of human and nature; part three - time of peace and prosperity, to show ancient people's understanding about peace and prosperity; part four - spirit of Han Dynasty, to tell lifestyle and spirit of the people in Han Dynasty; part five - south of the Nanshan, to present development of Han Dynasty in material civilization and spiritual civilization; part six - inheritance of traditional art, to display 20 colored painting rubbings which integrate colored mural with stone relief in Han Dynasty.
