Fashionistas around the world have their eyes turned to the China Fashion Week. The event - which kicked off in Beijing last Wednesday - features a vast array of attire ranging from traditional ethnic garb to full gowns.

This spring-summer collection aims to bring Sichuan and Tibet to the stage. The combination of bright colors, silk and handicrafts made quite the showing and so did some pretty cutting edge technology.

Ma Lei, brand representative, said, "Printed patterns are more and more popular these days. We employed heat-transfer printing technology in the production of these works. We hope to present ethnic Chinese elements in style and with confidence."

Another colorful showcase came with the release of a collection called "rainbow." The show focused on simple no-nonsense designs and colors. The show also told the tale of a city girl reaping success after enduring a number of challenges and hardships. This narrative was cleverly conveyed through the varying designs and colors of the clothes.
