Photo exhibition on China opens in Bulgaria

SOFIA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition marking the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China opened here Monday in the Bulgaria's National Palace of Culture (NPC).

The one-week exhibition entitled "On the wings of Culture" presents an interesting kaleidoscope of images from China, Ivailo Georgiev, NPC's Board Chairman told the opening ceremony.

Georgi Stoev, Deputy Minister of Culture, said the exhibition wanted to show contemporary China with its cultural diversity.

Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Guo Yezhou said he was confident that through this exhibition, friends who love Chinese culture will get a better knowledge of contemporary China.
