Chinese actor Wang Xueqi is likely to play the character Chen Lu in the superhero blockbuster "Iron Man 3", according to Mtime.com.

Wang, 66, was recently spotted talking with "Iron Man 3" producer Dan Mintz in Beijing. Insiders from Fan Bingbing Work Studio, which Wang works for, confirmed that the meeting was about "Iron Man 3" but that the details would be available later.

In the original comic, Chen Lu is a super villain, who uses radiation on his own body in a bid to defeat Iron Man.

The film may possibly shoot in China in September.

Wang Xueqi has won awards for his roles in such films as "Bodyguards and Assassins", "Forever Enthralled" and "Chongqing Blues".
