In traditional Chinese culture and medical science, yin and yang are not opposing forces, but complementary forces. Yin ( i.e. feminine) and yang (i.e. masculine) interact to form a greater dynamic whole.

According to Dr. Chen tingsheng, vice president of Integrative Medicine Hospital in Guilin, China said that male is more of yang while female of yin. Movements come with yang while stillness stays with yin. Therefore, a healthy diet provides male with energy to be engaged in movement while for female a sound sleep is of great healing regeneration.
