The Shanghai No.1 National Musical Instruments Factory was established in 1958. It was the merger of 86 workshops of traditional Chinese musical instruments and is the oldest and largest traditional Chinese musical instrument manufacturer of China.

In recent years, the factory has been selling its traditional Chinese musical instruments and developing its overseas markets by spreading the traditional Chinese music in the world, such as establishing bands to perform in foreign countries and setting up overseas art schools and music classes.

While obtaining economic benefits, the factory has also got an unexpected effect of popularizing the Chinese traditional music in the world.

This oldest traditional Chinese instrument factory of China has created many new business methods in recent years, and the most specific one of them is that the factory has established a traditional Chinese music band that performs all over the world.

The more the people love traditional Chinese music, the more the people buy traditional Chinese musical instruments

In the end of May, the small traditional Chinese music band "Dunhuang New Language" established by the factory will fly to Czech Republic and France to give overseas performances.

According to sources, the band has given performances in northeast regions and southwest regions of China and carried out cultural exchanges in many countries including Japan, Germany and Singapore.

It is not so unimaginably difficult to "go global." But, why does an enterprise establish a band to make the traditional Chinese music " go global?"

The reason why the enterprise is willing to spend a lot of money to support a band is actually quite simple: The more the people love traditional Chinese music, the more the people buy traditional Chinese musical instruments.
