Artificially bred harbor seals released to sea

On April 26, two artificially bred harbor seals were transferred to Penglai in Shandong province by car and then shipped to the Seal Rock near the Changshan Island. Here they were released to the sea by the scientific researchers from the Qingdao Aquarium. The harbor seals received more than half a year of wild-life training in the Qingdao Aquarium before they were released. The researchers also put a GPS satellite signal transmitters on the harbor seals' heads.
