"Little Potala Palace" attracts millions of tourists

Tourists visit Gedan Songzanlin Monastery in Shangri-la County of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, March 14, 2012. Gedan Songzanlin Monastery enjoys the reputation as "little Potala Palace", attracting millions of tourists from home and abroad every year. Nearly 200 million yuan (about 31.56 million U.S. dollars) had been invested for the construction and remedy of the monastery since 2006. (Xinhua/Lin Yiguang)
