20th world opera competition to be held in Beijing

Famous opera singer Placido Domingo greets Chinese audiences through video clip at the press conference in Beijing, capital of China, Feb. 29, 2012. The 20th world opera competition would be held in National Center For The Performing Arts from June 4th to 10th in Beijing. The world opera competition was founded in 1993 by famous opera singer Placido Domingo to discover and help launch the careers of the most promising young opera singers of today.(Xinhua/Luo Xiaoguang)
