To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sino-German diplomatic relations, China will hold "2012 Chinese Culture Year" in Berlin.

Xiang Xiaowei, deputy director-general for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture, said at a press conference Thursday that the Chinese Culture Year will be presented with Chinese cultural programs of unprecedented size and quality.

The Chinese Culture Year will be launched in Berlin on Jan. 30, 2012 with a concert near the Gendarmenmarkt Square. Yu Long, a renowned Chinese conductor, will lead the China Philharmonic Orchestra to perform the concert.
