Zhangbei ice and snow festival kicks off in north China

Fireworks show is seen during the opening ceremony of the first Zhangbei ice and snow festival in Zhangbei County of north China's Hebei Province, Dec. 30, 2011. The first Zhangbei ice and snow festival kicked off here on Friday. The festival is scheduled to open until March 10, 2012 and a series of ice and snow related games and events will be held during the festival.(Xinhua/Xu Zijian)
