China Tibet Online launches German service

China Tibet Online ( launched its German-language version ( on Dec. 27, marking an important step in building itself into an influential multilingual website. It currently offers contents in four languages – Chinese, English, Tibetan and German.

The new version will give more weight to time-honored Tibetan history and culture, provide latest Tibet-related information and reports to German readers, and present changes in the lives and improvements in the living standards of the Tibetan people in Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai, and Gansu.

Founded in 2000, China Tibet Online is now the world’s largest Tibet-related non-governmental website, which provides the latest information and in-depth reports on Tibet and the lives of the Tibetan people.
