Magellan penguins in Argentina

Magellan penguins are seen at Punta Tombo in Puerto Madryn, Chubut Province, Argentina, on Dec. 17, 2011. Magellan penguins, with a height of about 70 centimeters, mainly scatter in Argentina and Chile. Punta Tombo serves as the largest inhabitation area of Magellan penguins. Around one million Magellan penguins breed here each year from September to March in the next year. (Xinhua/Song Jieyun)
