Consecration ceremony for 660-ton Buddha held in Guizhou

On Sept. 6, the largest outdoor Maitreya Buddha was completed and its inauguration ceremony was held in Longquan Temple at the foot of Fanjing Mountain in Jiangkou county of Guizhou province. This 32-meter-high, 660-ton Maitreya Buddha statue is made of pure copper and is the largest open-air Maitreya Buddha in Guizhou province.
