From now on, people will be able to watch a live TV show broadcasting the real-time weather and tourist flow of the Summer Palace as well as the imperial-style temple fair held during the spring festival.

It is estimated that around 1.7 million HD digital television subscribers will receive the newly opened Summer Palace television channel. This is country’s first live television channel concerning the park's rich in culture and history.

The channel features programs like live a landscape show, an art treasure documentary, business and service and cultural activities. Three HD cameras are set up to capture the park's main attractions, including the Tower of Buddha Fragrance, the 17-hole Bridge and Kunming Lake. Through various kinds of programs, people can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Summer Palace at home, and at the same time, they can learn about the weather condition and traffic situation around the park in real time.

The Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks said that more park television channels are expected to open in the future.
