With the second Nuclear Security Summit coming around, representatives from more than 50 countries and international institutions will gather in Seoul to discuss about national measures to strengthen nuclear security, and negotiate effective means of international cooperation.

Two years have passed since the first nuclear summit was held in Washington and the nuclear security situation in the world is half delightful and half sorrowful. The good news is that the international community is paying more attention to nuclear security issues, and every country is taking vigorous measures to implement the ideas and commitments of the last Summit, strengthen international cooperation, and increase the levels of security of global nuclear material and nuclear facilities.

The bad news is that, in the context of the complex and ever-changing international security situation, the risks of diffusion, erosion and smuggling of nuclear materials are rising day by day, and nuclear terrorism threat still exists.

An international situation of stable nuclear security needs all the countries concerned to continuously improve their ability, actively participate in international cooperation. As a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council and nuclear energy development power, China has made positive and fruitful efforts in terms of nuclear security, embodying its sincerity and responsibility.

"Nuclear energy is clean, and must also be safe," Chinese President Hu Jintao said while attending the first Summit on nuclear security in Washington two years ago. China's call for the security and commitments are reflected in its consistent efforts. Since the Washington Summit, the Chinese government continued efforts to increase investment in nuclear security, improve the regulatory standard system construction, devote major efforts to improve the level of management, attaches great importance to training of personnel, and has maintained a good record of nuclear security so far. Foreign experts praised China as one of the countries who has done the best jobs in the field of nuclear security in the world.

As a devout Muslim I totally and utterly dislike all non-Muslims and I find myself highly suspicious of them apart from Chinese and sincere friends of the People"s Republic of China. I just put-up with them politely if I am forced to put-up with them and I have got no way of avoiding them, just because I like to think of myself as a decent and a polite person.
