In growing up in US/Canada, I was taught that the ever-improving technology is intended to allow workers to be more and more efficient so that the corporations can be more streamlined in terms of worker head-count. In other words, an employer is more likely to hire you as a worker if you can replace say 2 or more workers. We were, however, never taught how to create jobs when the economy is bad. (More)

The visit to China by Japan PM Yoshihiko Noda is timely invited of the world turmoil and financial instability of the Euro Zone, China -Japan relationship is important in the 21st century because both countries are two of the Economic Giants among the Asia countries. Japan with their innovativeness in technology and China huge population and resources, by working together both countries not only will ensure the peace and stability in the Asian region, it will also mean stability in the pan pacific region. The world will definitely be recovering faster and steadier. China and Japan could do their part in promotion of world peace and technological advancement. A win-win situation is surely followed if the two countries is to establish a new leaf of trust and co-operation. PM Noda and Premier Wen Jiabao will have to take this historical event with full commitment and that will include the wisdom of the citizens of both countries. Hoping to see 2012 a better year with China- Japan star the ball peace and co-operation rolling. (More)

Relaxation of this ban on the weapons" export means not only abandonment of the Item 9 of the constitution but Japan’s resumption of rearmament, which is likely to touch off arms race and military tension in Asia. (More)
