Good idea. But when? The longer this tarry, the more likely Taiwan will move away from mainland China? What is Ma Ying-jeou waiting for? He loses nothing since they will basically be continuing on as before except being a vassal of Washington and its foreign policy being dictated by Washington also. The unification of Taiwan with Mainland China will be a great event that will bring pride to every Chinese. We will look bigger and stand taller. So mr Ma, the ball is in your court. There is much to be gained by reunification. Washington and Tokyo doesn"t want what is in the interest of the Chinese. Can you show you can be your own man and a proud Chinese? History beckons and you can be huge part of it - your name being indelibly written in its annals. Afterall, that"s what it is to be in politics. We all want to leave behind, a great legacy. Will you miss that rare opportunity, Mr Ma Ying-jeou? (More)

I totally agree on this report. But there is one point I would like to see happen and this is: China should do a much better job by making the public, not only in the USA, but also in Europe, know that the USA is still blocking certain High-tech product to be sold to China. This is in general NOT known by the population of Europe, where I live. So let the world know more about this. It is said to say that the USA is not to be trusted. SO China has to be careful. We do not want to see the repeat of the western-style economic bubbles and ponzzi schemes in China. Investors’ interests are more important than the greed of fund managers. I applaud the Chinese government’s the close monitoring and imposition of tough regulations on the finance industry. Another step in the right direction for the Chinese people. (More)

Don’t downplay the innovative initiatives of your own people too much. Have you read the Economist of 2nd Oct on Haier? Do you know you can now select TV channels for viewing with your brain waves rather than through punching keys on a remote control? That’s innovation from Haier for you. It now has 6% of the world market for white goods. Seeing where Haier came from, that’s no mean achievement competing against Japanese and Korean products. (More)

It is very important for BRICS to stay strong and stay focused. If Russia comes closer to China, that will bring India much closer as well. NATO is engaged in occupying countries and misinforming the world through their media, someone has to stand up and it was a great move both by both China & Russia to veto for Syria. (More)

The western term "what goes around comes around" ever holds so true and is a natural law! This "Occupy Wall Street" should deal a really big slap in the faces of all those revolution promoters and activist promoters where they used to stand out in the huge unruly mobs clapping and cheering them on in other troubled and instigated countries. Why aren’t they stand out in their own homeland mobs of street protests to declare, "We actively support all activists in this world"? What goes around comes around sooner than you thought and it is an inescapable rule of natural science!! (More)
