Barcelona head coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino insisted that Barcelona dropped two points after they were held to a 1-1 draw at AC Milan in a Champions League group game on Tuesday.

Robinho opened the scoring at San Siro before Lionel Messi equalised for the visitors in the first half. Martino suggested Barcelona should have scored more.

"We dropped two points and should have won this game against Milan," he said.

"We created more scoring chances and that is why we should have won the game. We made a mistake giving Milan the chance to score their goal. We paid for that error," he said.

He praised his side's icon Messi though his performance was not as impressive as before.

"Messi played well, as did the rest of the team. He was in the thick of the action," he said.

The Argentine rue his players' wasted chances, which cost them two points.

"It is not easy to play with so many opponents in their own half. We had the chances to score and it's just a shame we didn't make the most of them," he said.
