COLOMBO, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China's Yan Ni won the women's hammer throw gold on the penultimate day of the 15th Asian Junior Athletics Championship in Colombo on Monday.

Yan won the first event of the day with a 59.94-meter throw, bringing China's total gold tally to seven. South Korea's Park Seojin got the silver with 54.03m while Japan's Fukushima Hitomi won the bronze with a throw of 50.78m.

China's Xie Zhenye, who faced a major upset in 100 meters on the opening day, easily qualified for his favorite 200 meter final.
