Myanmar hails winning medals in Asian Wushu championship in China

YANGON, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's sports circle on Wednesday hailed the country's winning of two gold, eight silver and six bronze medals in the 6th Asian Youth Wushu Championship held in Shanghai, China.

A grand welcome for the victorious team comprising 10 Myanmar athletes was launched by officials of the Ministry of Sports and the Myanmar Wushu Federation.

The championship held from Aug. 19 to 21 was participated by athletes from 46 countries and regions.

In the 3rd World Junior Wushu Championship in Singapore in December last year, Myanmar Wushu contingents clinched 3 gold medals, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes.
