TORONTO, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese companies doing business in Canada now have a platform to band together with the inauguration of the Canada-China Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) here Tuesday.
Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming unveiled the CCCC plaque at a business luncheon held for the inauguration.
The non-profit business organization, made up of more than 100 Chinese companies, aims to help Chinese businesses develop in Canada and protect their legitimate rights, said CCCC Chairman Wang Lijun.
It will also provide these companies with a forum to address their concerns and queries, he said.
"With this kind of platform, we can have very good communication and exchange ideas with the federal government and governments of lower levels so they can help us solve problems," he said.
Another mission of the CCCC is to boost bilateral trade. The CCCC will also extend a helping hand to Canadian companies that try to enter the Chinese market, said Wang.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper sent a congratulatory note to the inauguration.
