(Global Times)

08:10, May 07, 2012

The year-on-year growth rate of China's fixed asset investment is estimated to be 20.5 percent in the first four months this year, according to a survey of economists by China Business News. This predicted figure is lower than the official year-on-year growth rate of 20.9 percent recorded for the first quarter, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Economists who had accurately predicted the growth rate in the first three months of this year all predicted that there would be a drop in this indicator in April.
