Over 5,000 equity deals inked in Q1

The China Beijing Equity Exchange (CBEX) saw the completion of 5,612 equity deals with a total transaction value of 184.65 billion yuan ($29.3 billion) in the first quarter of 2012, up 120 percent and 145.5 percent respectively year-on-year.

According to data from the CBEX, the construction, real estate, electric power industry and financial sectors led the way in terms of transaction value, recording deals worth 7 billion yuan, 4 billion yuan, 1.4 billion yuan and 1.3 billion yuan respectively during the first three months.
