Home prices falling in more cities

New home prices fell month-on-month in 46 of the country's 70 largest cities last month, slightly higher than the previous month when prices declined in 45 major cities, according to data the National Bureau of Statistics released Wednesday.

In March, 16 cities saw new home prices remain unchanged from February levels, with minor price increases recorded in the remaining eight cities. In terms of year-on-year changes, 38 of the 70 first- and second-tier cities registered drops in new home prices.

Regarding secondhand homes, prices went down month-on-month in 42 cities in March.
