The new and high-tech development zone of Tangshan city will establish China's largest robot production base in 2015, with annual production value reaching 20 billion yuan.

There will be one enterprise with an annual production value of more than 10 billion yuan, two enterprises with an annual production value of more than one billion yuan and five enterprises with an annual production value of more than 100 million yuan.

Focusing on the development of strategic emerging industries, the robot industry in the new and high-tech development zone has developed rapidly in recent years and now become the industrial base integrating the research and development, production and sales of robots.

All of the major technical indicators take the lead in China. In 2009, the robots invented by the new and high-tech development zone filled the gaps of robots used on exploration and emergency in mines, making China the second country mastering the technology after the United States.

At present, the welding robot system of the new and high-tech development zone occupies over 30 percent of market share in China, with an average annual growth rate of more than 50 percent, ranking first in the robot industry in China.
