China's non-financial overseas investment booms in January

China's domestic investors made direct investments to 355 overseas enterprises in 87 countries and regions in January, according to the statistic data released by the Ministry of Commerce on Feb. 16. The non-financial overseas investment reached 4.4 billion U.S. dollars, up 59.9 percent compared to the previous year.

In January, the turnover of China's foreign contract projects amounted to 5.9 billion U.S. dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 38 percent. The value of new contracts reached 9.3 billion U.S. dollars, down 10 percent compared to last year.

Of the new contracts, 32 are with a value higher than 50 million U.S dollars. The total contracts value of the 32 projects reached 7 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for about 76 percent of the new contracts value in January.
