Beijing police solves 4,000 drug cases in 2011

By December 10, 2011, a total of 4,000 drug cases were solved in Beijing, up 5.8 percent over the same period of 2010, according to the drug control department of the Beijing Public Security Bureau.

Of them, 22 cases involves in more than one kilogram of drugs, up 10 percent year-on-year.

Last year, the drug control system responsible for curbing land and mail transportation of drugs solved 197 drug smuggling and transportation cases, arrested more than 200 criminals and seized nearly 100 kilograms of drugs.
