From Feb. 1, jet fuel price in China will increase 105 yuan per ton to reach 7,465 yuan.

Shortly before the price rise, jet fuel price had just decreased by 293 yuan per ton, from 7,653 yuan in December 2011 to 7,360 yuan in January 2012. In the meantime, fuel surcharge for domestic routes longer than 800 kilometers decreased from 140 yuan to 130 yuan.

According to some tourism websites, most airline companies will not adjust their fuel surcharge in February despite the price rise. Shenzhen Airlines even cut the fuel surcharge of its Shenzhen-Hong Kong flights by 10 yuan since Feb. 1, 2012.
