Sina Weibo, a Chinese microblogging service which was suspected to have internet users' information leaked, denied the rumors and claimed in a statement that its user information was saved in encrypted form and had not been stolen by hackers.

On Monday, rumors circulated on the Internet said that Sina microblogging users' information was leaked and a database file with 4.7 million users' names and passwords was posted on the Internet. After verification, most names and passwords in the database file cannot be accessed.

Early Thursday, Chinese Software Development Net (CSDN), China's largest online community for computer programmers, was hacked and more than 6 million users' data were leaked, which has raised great concerns over web security and triggered widespread panic.
