Guangxi's foreign trade reaches $20 billion high

Between January and November of this year, the scale of foreign trade in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region reached $20.8 billion, up 35.3 percent over the same period last year, reported on Thursday.

According to Customs, foreign trade volume from January to November in Guangxi for exports reached $10.8 billion while imports topped out at $10 billion, an increase of 30.5 and 40.9 percent respectively.

At the same time, the total value of bilateral trade between Guangxi and other ASEAN countries amounted to $8.15 billion, up 51 percent over the same period last year. ASEAN remains the largest trading partner with Guangxi.

Guangxi's exports to ASEAN countries are valued at $5.64 billion, up 51.5 percent, with an import value of $2.51 billion, up 50 percent.

With the total value of bilateral trade at $1.44 billion, Brazil has become the second largest trading partner with Guangxi, followed by European Union countries and the United States.
