Apple recently announced the fourth batch of countries to launch the iPhone 4S, and Chinese mainland was still not included despite being the company's second largest market. Apple has given no explanation to Chinese customers, and the frequent system crashes of parallel imported iPhone 4S have led to growing discontent among Apple fans in China.

Apple delays iPhone 4S launch on Chinese mainland

During its last quarterly earnings call, Apple announced 4.5 billion U.S. dollars in revenue from Greater China, up 270 percent from the third quarter last year, making China the company's second largest market after the United States. However, that did not stop Apple from delaying the iPhone 4S launch on the Chinese mainland. According to foreign media reports, iPhone 4S will go on sale in the fourth batch of seven countries and regions on Dec. 16, while the Chinese mainland is not included.

Apple has not given any explanation for the delay. A Chinese user complained in a forum post that iPhone 4S has been sold even in Slovakia. "Why is it so hard to launch it on the Chinese mainland, where it is produced?" the user asked.
