Zhejiang opens world's first new-energy market

The Tongxiang International New-Energy Market, the world's first new-energy trade market, was officially opened in Tongxiang City, Zhejiang province on Nov. 26.

The market serves as a platform for comprehensive display and trade cooperation with regard to new-energy products, adopts B2B trade patterns and has attracted many domestic and foreign new-energy companies.

The market aims to promote and trade a variety of new-energy products, including solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and ocean energy and will be completed in two phases.

The first phase project will build a photo-thermal pavilion, and the second phase project includes a photovoltaic pavilion, wind energy pavilion and biomass energy pavilion.

The first phase project that just opened covers an area of about 15,000 square meters, including a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters and has an occupancy rate of over 90 percent.
