After making preparations for more than two years, the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector was founded in Beijing a few days ago. It is China's first large-scale nationwide chamber of commerce specializing in helping private enterprises carry out international economic cooperation and communication.
The chamber's first batch of members consists of 128 enterprises, including the Lenovo Group and Geely Group. They are scattered in 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and their businesses cover various industries. Seven of them are listed in the top 10 of the Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprises of 2011.
Zheng Yuewen, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and board chairman of the Creat Group Company, was elected to be the first chairman of the chamber.
