The Beijing municipal government held a series of signing ceremonies, which were titled "Era of General Aviation and Coordinated Innovation" as well as the stone-laying ceremony of the Beijing International Aviation and Aerospace Innovation Park at Beihang University on Nov. 20. This signifies that Beijing now has an increasingly solid basis for the development of the aerospace sector as its eighth new industry.

Following the expansion of the low-altitude airspace management reform, the general aviation sector is expected to see explosive growth in China in the near future. Therefore, the Beijing municipal government has positively injected the elements of aviation and aerospace into the capital's industry planning and has striven to develop the full industry chain of general aviation to meet the overall requirements for developing it into a world-class city.
